BRANSON MO RESTAURANTS
Talk about Branson restaurants, they are all over the Branson area
and small surrounding towns. Branson restaurant offer a dining
experience of your choice. The big chain restaurants like Olive
Garden, Cracker Barrel, Golden Corral, BT Bones etc. can be
found all up and down the Branson strip which is Hwy 76.
Cracker Barrel prides itself in the excellent products used to
create a wonderful down hoe cooking experience. Olive Garden
for pasta dishes can’t be beat, Golden Corral for it’s fine
buffet, and BT Bones for it’s steak.
Dotted all over the area, are the Mom and Pop restaurants
where everything is cooked from scratch and has that home-cooked
taste. Their homemade soups and pies are delicious and the décor
gives you that homey feeling. Customers usually take time out
to talk to one another and enjoy one another’s company.
VJ’s in Blue Eye, MO has been the mom and pop restaurant for
many years and become tradition for the locals to dine there.
From the minute you walk through the door someone will greet you
with a smile.
Whether you are there for breakfast and those great sausage
gravy over homemade biscuits, a full dinner, or homemade soups
you won’t walk away hungry.
Most often the locals will strike up a conversation and
you’ll be quite entertained, I tell you. The owner is always
eager to please. Coming soon will be live music (sorry no room
for dancing). As Blue Eye is a small town, you don’t need to
read the paper to hear about everyone and everything.
Danna’s BBQ and Burger Shop in Branson West, MO is the
ultimate BBQ experience. The décor is western and a bit
rustic. Their smoked meats are unbelievable and you must try
their catfish if you are a catfish lover.
The Smoked Pit Plate for $18.99. They said it was enough for 2
people to share. With ½ a smoked chicken, pulled pork and pulled
beef, smoked sausage, ribs, beans, coleslaw, French fries, and a
Memphis roll, it was more like enough to feed a small army.
Crane and Galena also have small town cafes. And in Crane
you can walk off your meal antique shopping. Galena has a town
square where the courthouse is located and a few shops
surrounding it.
Years ago, when Branson became the big tourist town, some of
the great chefs and cooks from all over flocked to the region.
Branson went from a few restaurants to restaurants everywhere
you looked. Whether you are visiting the WWII Memorial Museum
and want Chinese (go right across the street to the Great Wall
of China), or you’ve been riding the go-carts at The Track, you
can eat at the pie restaurant for a treat or various restaurants
on both sides of the street.
There are many Branson restaurants right on Table Rock Lake with
seating inside and outside. It’s wonderful sitting out there on
a warm night, looking out over the moon shining on the water and
enjoying great food. And many of those restaurants have live
music.
Check out the local phone book for a listing of restaurants
by type or price. The locals are great at giving directions.
